Introduction
This app was designed to help users order food conveniently and makes it cost-effective for restaurants to cater to a wide range of customers.
Project Goal
Enabling users to move swiftly through the touchpoints to achieve their goals
Client approached me to work on the design and the user experience of a platform that removes any bottlenecks in the user journey of a food delivery service.
This design could then be handed off to other restaurants who want to incorporate delivery service of their own.
Goal #1
One of the most important goals was to make the ordering process more easily customizable for all food selections.
Goal #2
Another was adhering to heuristics principles thus allowing to go back on choices & making the order tracking less of a cognitive burden.
01
Onboarding
In order to onboard users smoothly, it was essential to set the expectations right, specially of work hours & show only items/restaurants that are available for delivery or pickup.

02
Food Selection
To avoid the paradox of choice which increases bounce rates and takes longer for a user to make a choice, we added a popular items list first.
Every item had a review so users can be equipped better to take a decision.
03
Order Placement & Tracking
Adhering to Jakob’s heuristics principle, accelerators like gestures to remove cart items that are unseen to novice users were added to the design.
Access to rider’s tracking and communication channel is key for a smooth delivery process.

04
Increasing Revenue
Offering vouchers act as an added incentive to the user, thus increased conversion rate.
Users have their points accumulated after each order, they get to enjoy special unique discounts exclusive to them, this keeps them coming back and helps user engagement.
